The Holosonics Audio Spotlight X-Series speaker creates a tight, narrow beam of sound that can be controlled with the same precision as light to deliver all of the sound and none of the noise™. When aimed at the desired listening area, X-Series Audio Spotlight uses patented technology to create a beam of ultrasound that delivers audio that is ten times more isolated than the sound produced by any other speaker in the marketplace.

Audio Spotlight technology is the perfect sound solution for a wide range of venues and applications, including museums, galleries, exhibits, kiosks, digital signage, retail displays, and OOH advertising. When aimed at the desired listening area, the patented technology creates a beam of ultrasound that delivers audio that is ten times more isolated than the sound produced by any other speaker on the market.

The self-powered Audio Spotlight directional speaker is a cutting-edge tool that touchlessly delivers immersive, isolated audio for a private listening experience while keeping the surrounding area quiet, clean, and safe. Audio Spotlight provides hands-free directional sound in public spaces that eliminates the need to use tethered headphones that are unsanitary, unsafe, and cumbersome.

Immersive Auditory Experiences at the Molina Family Latino Gallery within the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Latino unveiled its first gallery dedicated to Latino history and culture, the Molina Family Latino Gallery at the National Museum of American History. The 4,500 square foot gallery serves as a place where generations of rich narratives of Latino culture and heritage come to life, and as a precursor for the eventual Latino Museum. At the forefront of this immersive storytelling endeavor is the ingenious use of Holosonics' focused sound technology, masterfully executed through a collaboration with BBI Engineering.

This was a project with a very tight exhibit space, and we needed speakers that prevented sound bleed between the exhibits. The Audio Spotlight was a solution that worked well, and visitor feedback has been excellent.

WATCH: Museum of the Southwest Installs New Directional Speakers

The Museum of the Southwest has come up with a new way to ensure each visitor gets a personalized experience with each work of art. Holosonics Directional Audio Speakers have been installed. These speakers will allow anyone who approaches a work of art to be in a "cone of sound". Those inside will hear a narrative about the art, artist or period.

Everybody can hear this audio, learn more about the art in their own little experience. It’s kind of like the old school experience of going to a museum and wearing headphones, except no more headphones. The sound is right there in your ears but not in anybody else’s...
— Matthew Ward, Museum Curator
